Throttle body coolant bypass
I've seen more frequent adds for bypassing these coolant lines to keep the air more cool and dense at the throttle body.Anybody actually felt any noticable improvement?

Nope. There is an optimum air temp for proper fuel vaproization. that's the purpose of the coolant loop at teh throttle body. If the charge is too cld, teh fuel will be poorly vaporized, youi will not make full power, you will waste fuel, and your HC emissions will be increased.

This is one mod that has ZERO practical benefit. There are several threads already on the pros and cons - search if you want the details. The bottom line is there are no pros. Engines parts get warm and they get hot, that's how they were designed. You could disconnect it and race your buddy with the STi that normally beats you by a car length, and guess what, he'd STILL beat you by a car length. And unless there is some performance criteria that says the intake manifold must be at ambient temperature, that is a moot point.

lol you also live in florida so you have a pretty warm climate, as soon as i pull my plenum again mine is gonna be bypassed also.

keeping the intake manifold cooler has no benefits, eh? wonder why drag racers ice that plenum down between runs...
This is just one mod that can contribute to preventing heat soak. I haven't seen any quantitative data that supports this on the VQ platform but it is closed-minded to think it doesn't potentially have an impact.
I liked the comment about fuel vaporization. I wonder which version of the VQ engine vaporizes fuel in the upper plenum...
I wonder which version of any engine makes less power with colder, denser air

This mod does nothing to our cars. If kepping the throttle body/ intake plenum a couple degrees cooler made a big difference the kinetix plenum should have huge gains over a crawford or spacer. The kinetix plenum comes with a bypass and when i beat on my car the plenum still doesn't even come close to being as hot as an oem plenum.

I havent seen any HR guys do this either. Some of the 370z guys have.

thanks for the longevity insight...doubt I would need it in Hawaii, or anywhere else seeing the car isn't a DD anymore!
