I see, yeah some were overly harsh!

I'm going to have to get used to the linear throttle thing myself!

One note, the Altima and Z have basically the same engine except the Zs have some high performance parts, polishing, etc and tuned differently. So, it would be hard to imagine that the Altima could be faster. I have a Maxima which is great but same thing there.

Anyway, I thought you wrote a good initial post then of your perspective.

People that are used to fast cars.. usually turbo cars will always say NA cars are slow.. the car just does not feel the same.. to me the 350 z feel sslower but i know its faily quick for what it is.. but compare even to my old stock VR4 when it was stock.. its just completely different. the turbo kicks in and its all torque..

I once rode in my firends Civic EG with a built NA motor.. the engine sounded great but it did'nt feel all that fast.. until i saw it on the track. putting down low 13's on street tires.. i was shocked and impressed at the same time.

I think this is where all the flame comes from.. people test driving the car and it does'nt pull the same way as their turbo cars.. espically AWD turbo cars =p

I know for a fact that i will get a turbo kit next year =) the feeling of the low rpm torque is just sensational.

I noticed today that even with almost 10k miles in the Z, I still crap my pants whenever I get that static zap trying to egress the car.

Your passengers make a little squeal when you downshift and turn-in with a little oversteer.

I've noticed that it takes FOREVER to get one. That and Nissan dealers are like L Ron Hubbard cult followers.

Sold my Vette today. So I'm getting SUPER sick for my new Z now. 3 months waiting and going strong...

Mr Z
I have an 04ZR and an 05 Altima 3.5 and they are close, but the Z is still faster.

Wow, you brought this back from the dead. Anyway, on the passenger side on the underside of the dash you should see an outlet....if you have an 06' I believe they changed it to a coin tray or something like that. So you should only have an outlet if you have an 03 - 05.

That's what happens when you're bored at work and have been living without my XM since I got this car. Went out at lunch to try to find it and had no luck... is it hidden? Feeling pretty stupid about this... it's probably right in front of me....

forgot to mention mine's an '03 coupe

Actually in the o6 you have an outlet on the passenger side down below the coin tray and in the center back between the seats.

The A/C tuning on when you hit the fresh/recycle button sucks! I've been just keeping everything on auto to see how it manages, so far it seems to do ok.

Yeah I keep mine on auto at like 70 too.
I also noticed my car idles a little (stressing little) smoother after I installed my pop charger over the weekend. Sounds *****in' @ 5,000 rpm's by the way .
