The base model is the ONLY model with significantly cheaper rates, and this is a direct result of not having a LSD(and not needing TCS).
Average annual insurance rates:
Base $1,780.00
Enthusiast $2,047.00
Touring $2,047.00
Performance $2,047.00
Track $2,047.00
Touring coupe manual $2,047.00
Thank you, come again!

You will see the relatively big difference in insurance rates if you care to take the time and look. If the base was more dangerous it would be reflected in insurance rates. Unfortunately for your disagreement the exact opposite is true.

I may be wrong, but isnt the reason the base has close to 250$ avg rate less for insurance due to the fact that the base cost around 26,000$ and the touring for example is around 34,000$. I thought that the cost of the vehicle had a significant effect on your avg insurance rate. Insurance gurus chime in please. BEN

I find it hard to beleive a LSD would put a car in a different insurance bracket. That would be as bad as the rumor that a red car of the same make would be a higher insurance cost.

Insurance is expensive, It will be substantially less if it is a woman at the age of $16, I just turned 21 driving a 350Z, I have every possible discount that I can get, The big one for me is good student, %25, and advanced defensive driving %15, Just make sure your kid get’s good grades and definitely would recommend the defensive driving course, if your state offers such a thing, If you can get your kid listed as what’s called a secondary driver you being the primary driver, well you cold be looking at around $150 a month or less. I was a listed as a secondary driver on my car when I was 16 and it saved me a boat load. Get to know your insurance rep and talk to them face to face, maybe they will help you out.
