First Skyline powered 350z in the world.
Here is the pictures of our new project car. The car will debut at Nopi Nationals in Atlanta, GA.
The car is a 2003 Chrome Silver 350z with a RB26DETT (Skyline GTR) motor. Single turbo kit and intake manifold are being made, wiring is being done, and the car will make over 625rwhp and driven on the street daily, and weighing in around 2900lbs.
Nice.
That will be interesting to see the numbers this beast will put out. Can the tranny and drivetrain handle the extra power? Or is it being replaced/reinforced?
Oh my god I was thinking about that swap several months ago but didn't think it would be possible or just too hard is the swap a pain in the ace??? it doesn't look like it fits very well did you need custom motor mounts????
The car was at the GA Z club meet last week (in stock form) I am sure some of you meet Poweraddict. He is joining the GA Z Club so I am sure you will get to see it again. + Batlground has a great price on Dyno runs, best in Atl, Field trip for Dyno runs and to see the RBZ
by the look of the engine bay, looks like there is still room for some more mods. also, did anyone notice how much lower the engine sits in the bay? looks like a good 5-6 inches of lowering the center of gravity which in turn will help handling wont it?
the only concern i have is the new balance f/r. because the engine is longer(I6 vs V6) but it DOES look like it is pushed back far enough to the frewall.
O well, cant wait to see the finished product!!
according to Top Secret, the stock differential is not strong enough, so they swapped it out with Cusco. But the carbon fiber drive shaft is ok. Maybe you guys can test the differential..
