My preorder blue was 080, but I rejected that one due to the bad paint quality and ended up even happier with a Brickyard Red. I'm at 77K miles, and I'm still happy as a clam driving the Z. My Z has been in Boston, Rochester, Austin and now Seattle.
congrats man. im assuming you shipped your car?

Thanks. Yeah, I shipped it between NY -> ATX and ATX -> Seattle. If I next move to California, then I'll take a week off and drive it down the Pacific coast.

Well, I won't say exactly how I got the first ten VINs (it is difficult), but once you have them you can just run Carfaxes on them periodically.

It getting close to 10 years from the first delivery, so i decided to check in. I'm technically not a Pre-order guy, but I did order in July 2002, without ever seeing a 350z in person. I'm still enjoying my Z, which has about 45,000 miles now.

Bump!

I still have my preordered 2003! I rarely drive it anymore but it's still in the garage.

I've been driving mine a lot more this summer. I have had less need to drive my truck (Titan) and call my Z my "economy car". I get almost 23 mpg overall, including lots of speed runs. A lot better than my 12 mpg truck.

I also think my Z feels "smoother" and more quiet than when new. Could the original springs have softened a bit over time? Maybe lowered too

LOTS of changes to the car since then (and to the OWNER as well!) Look at that 40 year old guy in those pix! He's now a FIFTY year old guy!

There are many differences in the car between then and now. Most notably 9/24/02: 287 BHP. 9/24/12: 600+ BHP

Here's to the next ten years!

Mine doesn't turn 10 until January. But he's still here -- only 72k on the odo right now. No engine mods, but transmission, brakes, suspension, audio... and that's about it. Was out driving it to an appointment earlier today actually.

The 'big' kid is now 13... and has his eye on driving it in a couple of years. /facepalm

Well, I wired the remote display unit right above the rear view mirror and then placed the unit itself on the roof between the two passenger seats. I'm happy to report that the unit sounded faithfully both times I got speeding tickets. Both were laser guns, both were motorcycles.

I wonder how many there are that still own their originals then. What's the count up to now -- 5?

You should have gotten the ZR3 Laser Diffuser! Had mine for about 8 years. No tickets in the Z yet. 10 years and counting.

That's a nice increase. I'm presuming that's at the fly, not at the rubber?

There are some really hilarious threads on here from 10 years ago. Lor was just one of them.

The 600+ HP is indeed at the crank. 530 or so at the wheels.

That's still a very nice amount of power to have.
