Or there is a problem with your car and you're trying to make up for it with mods rather than fixing the actual problem.

I had a v2 with all fuel and tuning for less than 3k. It's long gone now though. Look if your just concerned about beating everything in a straight line, the z wasn't a great choice. Sure it's fast, I'd say it's more reliable than sti and evos. But that my opinion. My z is trucking on like a champ and I'm gona stay na. Just enjoy the car, and maybe one day when I make more money buy it some friends.

That first year it's an intake, plenum spacer, test pipes. Then Osiris with an email tune.
2nd year is budget hunting exhaust with maybe some left over for sway bars and end links. If you bargain hunt or buy used
3rd year is springs and shocks or coil overs.
4th year camber arms, suspension bits, new brake pads, stainless steel lines, fancy rotors.
5th year wheels and tires bargain hunting.
Not in that order ya know, but you get the idea.

Nissan dealership says...
$260 for labor for replacing the sensor+harness and if I want a compression test its gonna be like another $50 since its almost the same procedure and I might as well do the test since they are inside the engine anyways. Otherwise a compression test alone is $240.
They say I can buy the parts myself but they cant guarentee them vs buying the parts from them.

exactly. The Z is a money pit. And you guys are only further proving that. All the money you spend on your Z to keep it healthy/run fast you can get a stock car thats faster already.

Most of us who allow it to be a money pit are those of us that enjoy the fruits of our labor. It's a hobby. One has to pay to play. If one cannot, then that individual should seek other car options/opportunities to fit their budget...
