Default Almost a very bad situation

A few days ago I was driving on the highway, moving with traffic at about 80 mph. The left lane was going slower than the middle lane, which I was in. A full size Dodge pickup decided it was a good time to cut over 3 lanes of traffic extremely suddenly with no notice. Meanwhile my lane is going slightly faster than his and the front of my car is at his passenger door. So out of the corner of my eye I see this truck swerve into my lane inches from hitting me with quite a bit of force. I immediately reacted by jerking the wheel to the right as fast as necessary in order to avoid this guy and then back in order to attempt to stay in my lane. At this point, the rear got very loose and pitched me sideways which sent me directly into the left most lane where I unfortunately cut someone off. I was able to counter and regain control and also spot the truck which was now behind me in the right most lane.

Most of the incident was a blur, and I have no idea if I was able to check my right side before attempting this maneuver, and while risky, braking was not an option. I was definitely not prepared for that, but I'm glad no one got hurt, and I hope whoever was driving that truck realized what they could have caused.

If you had been going the speed limit instead of breaking the law you wouldn't have been in that situation.

Usually when I'm in a similar situation I tend to see it coming and just slow down and let them get over. One swerving driver is bad, don't need any more.

I either slow down or speed up. Whichever one will get me out of the way with the least amount of movement.

similar thing happened to me a few days ago. but instead he was going too fast and couldn't stop on time and swerve to my lane. usually i'd give them then "you stupid driver look" but he flashed his emergency lights right after so it was all good.

there's some really stupid drivers out there, you have to watch out for them.

One thing that I don't understand is why shitty *** car or heavy truck are always doing this kind of a stunt on the high way. Nine out of ten, these vehicle would crash because they are not capable of this kind of maneuver. In this case, I usually slow down to a distance to become a survivor to see the crash is about to happen, rather than become the victim.

Only keep fast driving on the track.

Ask any racer, any real racer, it don't matter if you win by an inch or a mile. Winning's wining.

IS the implication here that I was street racing? Because to this day I have still never participated in one of these, I just don't really see the point.
