Default 350Z HR Clutch Problems overseas

Hi guys,

This is my fist post here on the forum. I need some help and advice with a problem that I have experienced. I imported a 2007 350Z in Aruba last January. The Z has over a 100k miles now on it. Since I got it the clutch pedal was staying on the floor and with my foot I could raise it back up. It was not doing this constantly. 3 weeks ago it went all soft and stayed to the bottom. When I pulled over and opened up the hood I saw that the all the fluid was gone, so I refilled it and kept trying to get pressure at the pedal without success. After an hour I tried again and there was pressure again. I drove it home and continued driving it for a week. Last Sunday I arrived at home and it lost all pressure again.... This time the fluid has lowered but was not completely empty. Now my issue is that we don't have parts in stock here that I can go and buy. Not even our Nissan dealer here. What do you think could be going on and If I need to replace anything would you recommend me to upgrade this, since I have read about tons of 2007 with clutch cylinder issues.

Any help would be appreciated.

Here is the thread about this alreadyhttps://my350z.com/forum/maintenance...r-problem.html

here are some low priced parts
Master Cylhttps://www.carpartkings.com/centric...a3AaApDb8P8HAQ
Slave cylhttp://www.autopartswarehouse.com/sk...VsUaAtrA8P8HAQ

If you would like to see additional information on the recall for your cyl and if you car fell in that recall its is Campaign ID p7252 from Nissan.

If she is your daily driver then just brake down and buy an aftermarket cyl so you dont have to toy around with Nissan, because i can tell you first hand its a pain in the a$$ and you dont even have a local dealership so ya. I would suggest Zperformace under vendor classifieds, they have great service but your going to spend good money for a good product.

As bleclair00 mentions, it really does sound like your slave cylinder has gone as the description you give sounds like classic slave failure. Its also worth replacing the master cylinder at the same time as you replace your slave as this covers all bases and prevents you having to replace the master cylinder a few months down the road.

Hi guys thanks a million. Yesterday we went under the car to see that there is a fluid coming from around the bell housing. Se We concluded it is indeed the slave cylinder...... I will order the parts and wait for 2 weeks or so and then have it replaced and will let you guys know how it went.

Hey buds was just about to order the parts... but as per Nissan and what I have seen yesterday.... The slave cylinder is in the gearbox.

This is the part that they told me I would need. Can you help me out if this is correct?

Or maybe this one?

if you replace it with oem parts, it WILL go out again. when mine went out the first time, i replaced it with oem, and a year later it went out again. get the heavy duty one from zspeed, it is metal and not plastic like the factory one

Those are both concentric slave cylinders (CSCs), but you'll need to confirm with the vendors it's the right part for your Z. Just to correct the highlighted portion up above: the CSC is not inside the gearbox; rather it sits in the bellhousing and is bolted to the inside flange of the gearbox case.

Go with the Z speed slave cylinder for the HR and a new master cylinder from wilwood. The HR slave cylinder are a PITA bc they're inside that bellhousing. You'll only want to replace that once after you tackle that project.
