Depending on your insurance they may say they won't do nothin to fix it. A couple year's back in a diff car someone hit my back bumper in a parking lot and it has stress cracks all the way down it with a spot bout as big as a half dollar that was dented in and cracked real bad, bit insurance said since it wasnt actually broken and it wasn't affecting the drivability they woildnt fix it so i just had to deal with the b.s.

Wow that's horrible ..I would have taken a baseball bat to it lol. My insurance is covering it ,but with the 44/hr it looks like it won't even hit the $500 mark...

I know right, my luck they still wouldn't have fixed it and probably still would've costed less than the deductable so would've had to pay out of pocket lol.

When they say its done tell them the paint doesn't match and make them do more work? Idk just an idea I guess

At least you could have fun with a baseball bat though!

I hope the paint looks good..I just saw a thread with a bad paint match ,so I hope it won't end up with one

Yeah I can tell at some point before I got my z someone replaced the back bumper cause if you look closely its a shade or two darker red then the rest of the car. It's not baddd, but probably a good chance it may be a couple shades off what its supposed to be

FINALLY DONE! Here are the results ~

Cost came up to $570. They also had to replace the "Energy absorber" and "Bumper cover clip"x3 .

I'm happy how it turned out ..

looks good, BUUUUUUUUUUUUUT now you need to hire a detailer to get the swirls and scratched out of the rest of your car. black is the worst at showing them.

he said he normally charges about $700, but it really depends on how bad it is and the pad combinations they have to use

That's typical with red cars. The red reflects differently depending on the surface it's painted on. My Nogaro Red's hood, bumpers and sides are all a slightly different shade and I bought mine factory fresh brand spankin' new.

Im surprised you let a van outrun you lol.

My girl got into a hit & run with an 05ish Accord. Surprisingly, she caught up to the car and got the license plate info and a description. Cops did absolutely nothing and insurance did even less.
Luckily, her bumper only got 2 paint chips from the license plate screws from other car.

Even if I did, I'm guessing he was not even insured and I live in a no-fault state . Those two combined = small claim case, I believe? All said and done now~ Learned my lesson lol.
