I don't believe there is a difference in housing of the HIDs and Halogen headlights.
Turn them on and compare the light output...

If your car is a base it is highly likely the lights are halogen

Unless a previous owner installed an HID kit, you will have halogen lights.

I dkn if the previous owner of my Z changed the lights but mine is 05 base and has hid
But u should be able to tell when u turn them on

Retard............where did that come from. The original poster is asking a simple question and the answer is not so simple. The 2003-2005 Base models did come equipped with halogen lights. However, most people have upgraded the Base with HID kits. The simplest way for the original poster to find out is to remove the fender liner and look. There is no way to tell from looking at the outside. If the original poster knows what to look for, you can tell HID lights because they come on dimly and get bright in a matter of seconds. The halogen lights come to full brightness immediately.

If you have to ask, theyre probably not HID's.


Visibility on my 03 05 lights is terrible, even with HIDs lol.
