So cool to find people on here watching my page! Thanks yall!

So far I haven't got much news on the car as far as it even being totaled or not, but the agent wanted to give me $13,000 for my car and I owe $12,700. So I'm trying to get more out of it but if I can't I wont be able to afford the buy-back.

It was my original plan to buy back the car, there is literally no serious damage besides air bags, but thats usually what totals a older car.

and yes! The WOT BOX is probably the best $200 I spent on the car. What it does for No-Lift shifting is cut the ignition for X amount of time (mine was set to .125ms in that video) and allows the synchros to mesh easier, thus prolonging the life of the transmission. and it also came with launch control!

You need to fight that, you should be getting more for your car... How many miles does it have?

Any pics ?

The reason you win against heavier modded Z's is because the tune or lack there of. Since you only have exhaust or none at all it's because it is an improvement weight wise and for WOT runs seeing you did no intake mods!

In for pics

and need new rear and front bumper.... car ran fine. new passenger side suspension and I can almost gaurantee it'd drive like normal.

driver side looks like a flawless HR besidse the side mirror broke off and the A pillar on the outside is off

all the doors/trunk shut fine, hood wouldnt shut fine cause the latch was broken I believe

I told insurance lady I didn't agree with $13,000 and then she said to find some more cars that are selling for what I think they are worth... how do I fight the insurance? What else do I say to get more money? Do I just keep disagreeing with her price?

KBB/NADA/Edmunds or craigslist listings of other 08 Z cars selling in the same area??? Haven't had to deal with or seen friends get lowballed like that! Make sure they understand it's a 2008 they might be going off the norm for 03-06.

All this is between you and the adjuster

cosmetically looks to be:

front bumper
fender
rear bumper

the door and quarter panels can be pulled and repaired

Now you have to be aware of how bodyshops work! They will always buy OEM at full price to the dealership and pay the discount price hookup as a hookup....seen it! Regardless you can shop for replacement parts to keep cost low!

Good Luck and keep us posted....we want to see this factory freak and you on the streets again!

in dry weather

I told her the KBB on the car was 15.5 and she was like "thats not what the cars sell for" I just gave her a list of cars selling for 16K+ so well see what she says about that. And the car is totaled. They didn't do a full inspection on it all she said was they got their conclusion by "the broken axle" and thats considered "excessive damage" + airbags obviously. I did not mention to her how the 07-08 were more expensive but i found a graph online that shows the average prices of 03-08 and 03 starts off with 12.5k and 08 ends at 17.5k. So I mean idk whats gonna happen now. I hope I can inspect the car before I consider a buy back. Can I ask for a new agent?

Some good news, I was able to get $15,400 out of the car. I may have been able to fight for more, but I'm not really that type of person, I paid $15,000 for the car back when it had 64,000 miles.

Insurance wanted $4,100 for it. That was a little too much for me considering I don't know the full damage of the car. It's going to auction and we'll try and bid for it, see if we can get it lower, if not, then I have to move on.

There she sits.... :/

Just buy another, hopefully this time the roof will be in good condition so you don't have to wrap it in an odd color

Roof was in perfect condition, gloss black looks sexy.

Thanks yall! If I don't end up getting it back i'll probably look into buying another one, same color, same model, same year, everything. Just loved it that much, hopefully I can find a low mileage one that cheap again! Love Z's!
