What to expect after a deployment
I left my '03 back home with a buddy of mine expecting him to occasionally drive it. But he was scared to drive the car.
I asked for him to roll it around in his garage to try and keep the tires round but I'm really worried that it might have the same tank of gas the entire 6-7 months I've been gone.
Should I even attempt to start it with this gas? Any recommendations? I'd like to avoid trouble if possible... I've heard the ethanol in gas can really **** stuff up after a while.
Thank you.

Mine fired right up after a year. It was run twice during the time, once last January, and once in a May. Never moved, I just fired it up, drove it off and got it smogged. Next time I drive it, I went 60 miles to the roadcourse and drove the **** out of it. Really nothing to worry about.
My tires were slightly flat spotted, went away with a little bit of heat.

I have a 2003 and for the first three years I stored the car during the winter (about 5-6 months). I didn’t do anything special other than slightly over-inflating the tires (to mitigate flat spots), and I never had a problem.
Ethanol is actually a good thing when storing your car. The ethanol and water are miscible and this characteristic prevents water forming in your gas tank.

She should be fine, my friends sat here on post for a year while he was in the stan and it fired up and no issues aside from stale smell inside and a dead battery. Hope you didn't leave a set of dirty pt's in the back lol
