No, but I also don't need a 2 seater sports car.

You dont need anythign but 1000 calories a day, fire for when it's below freezing and water every 48 hours. So........

OP, when people say, "you wont be able to use all the power on the streets", I can relate as a few seconds hitting it WOT at the top of third and you are already in 110-120 range. Finding the right tire/suspension setup it can feel pretty gnarly in 2-3rd. I've had to tinker with my setup. 500whp felt amazing and was enough to beat most anything stock on the road. Only downside, IMO, to raising HP isnt the usability of it, just the drivability given needed clutch and gas.

That being said, it has not been a waste of money for me.

Once you get to the 550hp/tq then that's scary. My buddies gt500 makes 560hp/tq at 2500rpms...it feels like I'm on my gixxer 750
You'd swear my Z (HR with bolt-ons) is slower than my stock sti, but the Z is actually faster. Power delivery is just so drastically different between the two and the sti, while very quick, feels faster than it is. At only 3.5-4k the sti feels like it was shot out of cannon if you go WOT while the Z at 4k feels like it has no ***** at all. The Z pulls much much harder up top though, enough so that it will pull on the sti and stay ahead.

It's all in the gear ratios(the awd is just a different pull altogether). I've been in a 1970 Chevelle 396SS and he had VERY VERY low gears. It felt like an 12 sec car. So we went to the track and I was driving an 02 vette. We lined up and he pulled hard..HARD off the line and I was like "holy shiet" about 1/8mile mark I flew past him running a high 13. He ran something like a mid 15

Isnt it the other way around? High gear feels fast while low gear feels slow? 4.10 vs 3.73. 4.10 is the high gear right?

By low gears (or short gears) he's talking about the high ratio gears where acceleration is better but top speed is limited. Lower/shorter gears feel faster.

It's all about wants and needs.

Maybe no one needs a 400hp yet, nothing at all wrong with wanting or making more hp.

There are few streets that more than 600 hp could be applied, successfully to. SO WHAT. I old NMCA days, 1990's, I had a street driven, stock suspension car on a 9in wide tire that ran 9.00@149. I put down 978 to the rear tire. On the street you could not drive it on a stock tire and on slicks it would not hook well, with very light throttle it would. Did I need that much hp nope. But, I was a blast and yes I drive it to the store, to visit friends, and to the track. It was a blast. Now the twin turbo Mustang I drove it also just not as far or often. It had a 427 W/Ford with twins, 7.78@181. Did I need that much hp... YES! BWWHAHAHA!

It's your car and money, do what you want!

their are other things in this world that are even more useless than a turbo kit, a college degree nowadays is completely worthless..atleast turbo kits offer a long lasting adrenaline rush

you spend 4-5 years in college for a piece of paper that is just about as useful as toilet paper to wipe your ***
