99.9% arent seeing all 500-700whp on the streets...

It isn't enough for what? If you use all 700hp on the street, I can pretty much guarantee you won't be keeping your car (or license) for long.

An old engine builder told me not to worry about HP. Lap/quarter mile times tell a much more impressive story.

Well I live in Florida. I've see some crazy *** cars.
You've missed the point of my post. If you use all that power on the street, your car will end up impounded and/or your license will be suspended.

After reading all the comments above all I have to say is the best route in boosting a g or z is buying a completely stock low mileage one and slapping a vortech on there. With all the intake/exhaust mods boosting 7 lbs you'll be around 400 hp 370 tq give or take 20 here or there. Once you pull an engine and build it the car will never be reliable as it was from the factory you'll have some issue all the time. I've been running a vortech V3 on a revup for 3 years and other than basic maintenance it's ran flawless no major issues like a built motor with 5 6 700 hp will.

So basically a 3 sec race in first gear? Thats not seeing all 700hp on the street. I gurantee you that they will likely be spinning than actually seeing all 700 hp. Hell i barely see 400whp....

my car, bone stock, will break the wheels loose just accelerating in second gear on some road surfaces. could be the surface, could be tires.... but like others said, most people wont use all that power

The problem is you have 0 stickers so youre not sticking which in turn hurts your traction. And no lambo door kit. Those cuts your aerodynamic and helps you slice the air better.

Vortech tuner kit- 4.3k

Injectors and fuel pump- 600

Boost and a/f gauges- 500

Clutch flywheel- 700

Uprev tune- 500 (already have software)

and did all the labor myself.

Just over 6k.

Boosting 7lbs. And now looking to get oil cooler and tranny cooler.

If you spent over 10k boosting your g/z you got raped.
