Yes.

But I notice that you apparently live in Georgia. I'll bet that your yard looks just a tad bit different than ours.

You are correct. A bud up there said it's snowing today. I'm at 73F, sunny and top down.

You know, Syner, I am almost always not a believer in pure coincidence, but the earth-shattering change of political climate in Alberta followed just a few hours later by the rapid change in the weather climate has made me wonder if "someone" is trying to send us a message.

A very nice 73 degF today in Nor-Cal. Perfect for laying on the floor of the garage doing unspeakable things to my Zs..... (Meaning, I'll tell ya about it when it's done and proven to be a good thing. Heh heh.)

Not gloating, y'all..... We have NO water. I can get a a $10,000 ticket for washing my car!!! Multiply that by 5 to do the fleet. Serious. San Jose, CA actually has that as law now.

Yeah, I'll gladly take some of your Canadian snow in our mountains, please.

No all season tires for you, eh, Mistuh Sparco?

When I shop for tires on TR website, I "uncheck" everything below "Ultra High Performance Summer". Yeah, guess I can leave the Z's in the garage on the 10 days of rain here. Heh heh.

Now, of course, with TR's new web design, I'm totally at a loss now.

I woke up, looked outside, and muttered under my breath "the NDP did this..."

Why would the NDP punish Albertans? They won.

What's much more likely is that Edmonton's climate was altered by Prentice's hyper-speed jet racing eastward out of the province so fast that it created a vacuum that drew cold arctic air downward from the north.

That's more likely! lol

I'm not a fan of any party in particular, but I've always disliked the PC's slightly more than the rest. I'd be p*ssed if I was in Prentice's riding and voted for him, only to have him step down minutes after the results were in.

Some people are freaking out, but I think the NDP will be a good (and much needed) change of pace for Alberta.

Naturally, I'm absolutely certain that absolutely everyone in the Province, regardless of their party affiliation or their state of political or physical consciousness, clearly understood why Prentice stepped down as party leader -- he just happened to be the captain at the helm of the HMS Tory Titanic when it sank.

But his resinging as MLA for Calgary-Foothills was the very first (and certainly the last) time that Albertans were allowed to see the real man -- the real person-- that Prentice and his handlers had been very effectively hiding under a microscopically thin, but impenetrably opaque, facade of "serving the public".

What actually happened? A bunch of loyal volunteers got him elected in his riding, presumably by telling its voters how much Jimmy cares for them and how much he's going to do for them. And what does Jim do for his loyal constituents the very moment after he wins his riding? He stabs them in the back by resigning as their MLA. Again, the very first thing that HRH Prentice says to His constituents after they elect Him is "I quit".

I can't believe how little has been said in "Alberta's" and "Canada's" MSM about this phenomenal, to my knowledge unprecedented, major political event. Right in front of the TV cameras, this formerly-venerated, right-honorable man proves himself without any shadow of doubt to be an absolutely self-centered snob who believes in absolutely nothing else but his own career, and the MSM has almost no criticism. Absolutely astonishing, but this is the perfect example of the oft-used, but far less-well-known, power of the MSM to NOT report what IS important.

Prentice's selfish action has certainly mortally wounded the PC prospects in Alberta and perhaps even nationwide. Will the PC party even bother to run a candidate in the upcoming by-election? Which party's candidate will Calgary-Foothills voters select -- PC? I bloody well doubt it.

All Prentice had to do was stick it out in Alberta for a few years for the sake of his constituents, then, before the next election, announce his intention not to run. Nope, Jim wasn't up to the challange of quietly sitting in the Alberta legislature for the next 4 or five years listening to Rachel and Brian set the political agenda and hear complaints from his constituents and quitely collect his salary. Nope, not up to that "challange" that most "ordinary" people would be giddy to accept.

I completely agree. A lot of people saw what he was beforehand, but I think (and hope) his actions finally showed PC backers what they were supporting.
