2005 350Z From Test Pipes To Berk HFC
Hi everyone:
Well, I finally got the Berk Cats that I ordered almost a month ago. I was running with test pipes since I've had my car and I finally got around to replacing them.
The main reason I decided to replace the test pipes was because of the smell it gave off and because I wouldn't have passed emissions. Also, I wasn't a big fan of the raspy sound it made at 3k RPM. Although, I did enjoy having a louder exhaust sound. It wasn't really loud when it was below 3k RPM so it wasn't like obnoxious but it was more lively when I would gun it. Anyway, I swapped those old test pipes out now I don't know if I really like the sound. It throws me off because it's much more quiet and sometimes I forget to shift because of how used to the older sound I am. For some reason, shifting as well as driving feels a lot smoother too. So that's always a plus. Oh and now when I shift, I hear this kind of feint but noticeable whistling sound. It sounds pretty awesome, actually. ^.^
I might throw a catback exhaust on it some time in the future but I don't know. I don't want it to be too loud and I don't want it to be too quiet either. I'll have to do some more research on what setup would be ideal for me.
Thanks for reading,
Until next time
