looking for a new lsd. Wondering what is the best for my driving.

Clutch type diffs are going to clunk at low speeds and be very jerky around parking lots and slow cornering. You don't want a 2 way on a street driven car. They also require regular maintenance.
Helical LSDs like quaife will act almost like a stock unit on the street and require zero maintenance. However, if you lift an inside rear tire under heavy cornering, they act like an open diff.
OS Giken is the best of both worlds. It is a clutch type that behaves nicely on the street due to their unique design. It is the most expensive and also the best.
If you do go clutch type, go 1.5 way.

Very scary you are a tech at a dealer, I guess that is why my vehicles never go to the shop.
