wait... pulled for 45 in a 45.. how dare you
I despise people who can't merge or yield when coming onto a roadway.. it is not the other persons responsibility to let you in. if I'm feeling generous I try to move over early so they have room... but if you come on the highway and I have to use my brakes you're a dick

Merging is done when two roadways join into one and the traffic on the main roadway must cooperate to allow enough space for vehicles to enter from the merging lane. Neither the merging vehicle nor the vehicles already on the highway have the right-of-way. Merging is a shared responsibility between the vehicles joining the roadway and the vehicles already on the roadway.

It is the responsibility of both the main road driver and the merging driver for merging traffic. Here's a quote from our laws in Alberta, Canada:
Merging is done when two roadways join into one and the traffic on the main roadway must cooperate to allow enough space for vehicles to enter from the merging lane. Neither the merging vehicle nor the vehicles already on the highway have the right-of-way. Merging is a shared responsibility between the vehicles joining the roadway and the vehicles already on the roadway.

Drivers must yield right of way when merging onto freeway. Q: Who has the right of way when a vehicle is merging onto a freeway from an entrance ramp? A: When a vehicle is merging onto the freeway, that driver must yield the right of way to vehicles already traveling on the freeway.

Here is an old article from the IIHS with death rates extrapolated to reflect deaths per million registered vehicles:
http://www.iihs.org/iihs/sr/statusreport/article/42/4/1
You can see there that the infiniti G35 had a rate of 11 driver deaths per million, and the 350z had a rate of 193. I couldn't find a newer report, but I've seen one before and the numbers are similar.
The G35 and 350z are similar enough that only the driver is to blame for the stark difference. The G certainly isn't made 17 times safer than the Z, the Z just attracts more idiots.

Well cool keep the avatar then so ill remember its the official John car..
yeah im not popular I don't know anyone in real life. I drove through D.C. Once like 8 years ago.. I stopped at a gas station at like 10pm it was all barred up and the attendant was behind like bullet proof glass. I tried to walk in to get a drink and pee and they all thought I must be crazy... I didnt stay long. So unless your that brave gas station worker we probably wouldn't know each other.
