Default Headlight Casing Question

Whats up peeps. I refinished my headlights about 2 years ago using one of those "permanent" solutions. Recently noticed that when I look at the headlight casings from certain angles their appears to be either some sort of damage or wear. The weird thing is, it appears to be from the inside of the casings. The outside is perfectly smooth and I made sure I didn't get any dirt or dust in the clear coat when I refinished the headlights so I am fairly certain it isn't due to something I did (hopefully).

I attached some pictures so you can see for yourselves. The main wear is occurring along the edges and where the light beam shines through. I tried using the all knowing search feature on the forums and Google but with no avail, so I bring the question to you.

I am looking into getting some really light headlight tint for some added stealthiness and the huge horsepower gains associated with doing ascetic mods. I don't want to put tint on them without correcting the imperfections first.

So, should I look into getting brand new casings or take them off and refinish the inside similar to refinishing the outside? I've honestly never heard of anyone refinishing the inside or if that's even a thing which is why I'm asking for some advice.

Please excuse the dirty headlights and the low image quality. I took them on my phone.

Also, before anyone brings it up; I did fully replace the blinker fluid with full synthetic about 15,000 miles ago so there shouldn't be any issues there.

You have webbing in the headlight lens. Basically the plastic has many tiny cracks creating that webbing.
It's not repairable.

Okay cool, thanks for the reply. How does that happen/ what causes that? Is it something I did such as sanding down the headlights too much to make them fragile or just unavoidable wear and tear from the elements?

I have a pair of unusable headlights that have new lenses that are already tinted if you're looking to purchase for cheap

When you sand them down you're removing any sort of protection they have. Essentially bare material at that point. Any petroleum based products can cause webbing in your headlights.
