Hey quick question, i have a 03 350z touring 6 speed, and occasionally when i start up the car and keep the clutch in I'll get a grinding noise until i let the clutch out.
Then the car drives fine but if you rev the car with the clutch in you'll get the same noise/grinding and it'll go away once the clutch is let out.
Would it be the throw out bearing or pilot bearing? Doesn't majorly effect drivablity just want to fix it.

It's better to replace as whole new clutch kit as those two parts come include in a kit.

Probably the throwout bearing - and yes, with the labor involved replace the entire component. How many miles on the clutch just out of curiosity?

I've never heard a throw-out bearing make noise with the clutch in. In 3 of my cars the noise always went away when the clutch was pressed in. Two of my cars currently do this

What you're hearing is your pilot bearing
