Default Window Seals

While detailing my Z this weekend I noticed some water leaking out from the hatch window seal. It wasn’t leaking into the car. I’d dry the area by the rear wiper, and a few seconds later another puddle. I pushed down on the seal and water would push out. Have any of you dealt with this issue?
Thanks

Same issue on my '04. It pissed me off after drying it, then coming out 20 minutes later to see water, but other than that it didn't do any harm.

I remember looking it up on Courtesy and being discouraged by the price.

I have the same problem. haha It drives me absolutely insane to have the car dried and prepping for a detail and then the dripping starts.

ok- noobie time
(and yes- my first post since getting my ultra yellow 05 z some 6 months ago- what can i say- i've spent a lot of time reading up on posts here )

-- i am trying to picture the seal mentioned by the OP- and then referenced by another poster as being "accordion style"- so anyhow- what seal around the hatch that is being referred to? the main one that goes all the way around the hatch ?

and in regards to the blower mentioned - yup- i have been researching that concept-but i am leaning toward a cordless one for several reasons...

#1 being - no outlets at front of my house- to run that i would have to run about 50 feet of electrical cord thru living room, remove a window screen, --well- you get the picture.
#2- morning dew- i want a cordless blower so i can leave for work at zero dark - pop hatch-blow car off and go w/o dealing w/#1.
#3-florida sunshowers- you know -the kind that just get the car wet-but not really wet- would be nice to blow that water off regardless of where i was at before driving about collecting all the wonderful pollen during the seasons here.

The black main trim seal that runs around the rear window.

I used to have a similar issue until I started opening the hatch while drying the car. Opening the hatch drains most of the water that gets collects in the hatch and stops water leaking out from the window seal.
