Default buying used 350z help me pick which one!

i have two 350z's that i will be looking at this weekend. the first is a 2006 enthusiast that is orange with 148000 mi for $6999, or a 2005 enthusiast convertible that is silver with 127,000 mi for $6999. my question is which would you choose. both are manual trans btw.

The lower miles. Especially with a rev-up. Although as a 2006 there is a good chance it doesnt have oil burning issues but that's nothing you would know until after you buy it.
Somethings to consider, Insurance will be astronomical on the convertible especially if you live in an apartment / city.

Is there a reason you are not looking for a lower milage earlier model? you should be able to find something around 80k for that, Would be a much better Idea.

I'm from Tucson az so most 350z are high mileage ie 100k+ unless your're willing to shell out 12-15k+

I'd pass on both of those if I were you. When I purchased my Z last year, it was at 77k miles and I paid $9700 for it. You can definitely find a better deal somewhere else.

lol I got my first one with 130k for $2k.......second one was free with 130k on it lol. Both 03's though. 7k for an 06 with 120 or 140k is a bit much. Even with it being a convertible. If it was me i'd get the 120k one or keep shopping (including in other states) theres a TON of good ones in TN/NC/VA/DC in the 3-5k range with 70-100k miles on them

If you were buying this as a 1 or 2 owner car I could atleast see that being the case, but almost assuredly you need to replace;
1) Struts
2) Every bushing ever
3) Seals on the doors
4) Seals on the window and hatch
5) Depending on when they went bad, Every cam sensor in the car soon
6) And while the motor CAN take that much millage and more, you don't know the owners it could have been beat to **** and sat at redline for years
7) on the convertible Check out the price on repairing the top and common wear locations
8) The bow motor.

This car is reliable, but its also fairly expensive to fix, I would fly out of state to find a quality one before I would settle like that.

Definitely. If he's going to be putting money into it, he might as well spend a little more finding a good one that's out of state.

Those prices aren't too bad. At least for in my area. Some goons want $10k for junk 145K+ Z's.

But I would base it off of inspection not x vs y... Look at the vehicles, drive them, get to know the owners. Get down and into it. See which one says to you "ill last the longest in your care".

Got mine for $4200 after tax from the auction. Only had 103xxx miles on it and its a clean title. I got lucky though cause it said it didn't run and drive, but that was because of a breathalyzer lol.

I'm near Phoenix and paid 9400 for my 08 with 78k on it. They are out there. Buying a car is something you never want to rush.
