03 Accelerates on its own, randomly
Ok so this has been a problem for me for a couple months and its driving me nuts. My car is randomly accelerating. Sometimes I can rev all the way through a gear without any issues but most of the time I have this random WOT acceleration. I've tried all the resets for the TB and the ECU reset and there's been no change. I've been searching a lot and can't find any posts anywhere about a similar problem or a possible solution. Basically Id like to get some input as to what might be going on before I just start replacing ****.
Thanks

They were pretty much as confused as I am on the acceleration part. Suggested replacing the TB but said they hadn't encountered a faulty TB that acted that way.

I should mention the car has an OSIRIS reflash and some kind of SRI. Problem started well after all that was done though so I doubt that's the issue.
Does anyone know if there's a way to repair the electronic portion of the TB? I'm good with electrical ****, and just really don't want to dish out the money for a TB haha.

I would start with cleaning the MAF sensor... But if I was going to guess I would say something is interfering with signal going from your pedal to the ecu or throttle body or however that works..
Did you add any oddball electronics right before this started happening?

Cleaned the MAF once already, just cleaned it again about an hour ago. And no sir, I started installing my audio equipment after this started but none of its really connected to a power source at the moment so that I can be sure that's not the issue.

Not sure which sensor exactly.
I still have my OEM throttle body that I can send you if you'd like (free). It works excellent. I have the NWP TB now and have no use for this one. You can try replacing the TB and if the problem persists then it has to the other sensor.
(I think the sensor is right on the TB? The black thing that plugs into the 6 pin connector? Yeah... I'm pretty sure that's the one, but correct me if I'm wrong.)

I guess I'll find out before too long whether or not this is a real fix or just a bandaid. Just happy to have it driving, I hate my damn Honda lol.

I really appreciate the offer man. Last night I decided to try robbing the whole thing of power (again) overnight. Disconnected the negative terminal, unplugged MAF, and unplugged the TB, in that order. Reconnected them all this morning in the reverse order and so far no more hella dangerous random acceleration.
