Problems with 2006 350z
Hey guys, i just recently got a nissan 350z with collision damage that i plan on fixing and making my daily. i just went and looked at it today and saw that it probably needs a new radiator cooling fan and front bumper and fender as it was hit in the front. also the tire on the left is jammed so i am sure it needs suspension parts as well. now my issue is that when i started it today it sounded fine until i dropped the clutch to let it idle. when it was in idle the rpm kept jumping up and down from 1 to 2. Then when i pressed in the clutch and shifted into first gear the car shuts off. the car has 97k miles on it. can anyone give help me?

Yeah Don't get it...
Seriously if you dont know what your getting yourself into and you need this as a daily driver go find something else.
Because once you get the new clutch, and suspension, and fenders, and bumper... It's still going to need a whole bunch more...
If your not prepared for a long hard time with discovering all the mystery corks just find a car thats not smashed up.

so far my mechanic is charging me 700 and the parts have so far totaled to 938 dollars. that so far 1636.27 on parts and labor and i suppose ill spend maybe 300 more on parts. reminder that the car was bought for 2,323 dollars which totals to about 3959.27.

Sounds like a solid junk yard build with stock parts.
You could have just picked up a non messed up daily driver for $4000... But if your goal is to have a stock driveable salvage Z that cost as much as a set of rays than more power to you...
Pretty positive ive spent over $2000 on Z parts this year and absolutely nothing was wrong with my car...
