Ohhh. I like it! I've always been a fan of the flat-bottomed steering wheels. My two biggest issues with swapping to a quick release steering wheel is 1) I have cruise control and don't want to lose that function and 2) I want an air bag in case of a wreck. Other than those two things, I would be saving up for one.

I came across this on UK ebay. I didn't like the price but this would work for ya.

Why don't you locate your cruise control either in the space by the courtesy lights OR in the space that is supposed to be an ashtray. A couple of guys fitted their cruise on these sites and the guy who fitted his by the courtesy lights made hime feel like an an airline pilot. Just a thought and a way around your problem.

There is another alternative and that is to contact www.royalsteeringwheels.com and the owner Jack has covered a number of wheels of UK forum mrmbers and the quality of hiwork is out of this world and chances are he'd be able to fabricate a flat bottom wheel for you thus keeping your cruise control where it is. Because the quality of his work is so high he has a long waiting list and his prices start at £135 sterling, get in touch he may be able to hook you up.

Just not a fan of removing an airbag on a commonly street driven car.

Every time i walk by the $15 running and basketball shoes at Walmart I think about NRG steering wheels. Sure they work, everyone knows they are cheap junk.
