Default 2005 350z Auto Stalled and Engine Light

Hi,

Was driving my 05 to work this morning and came to a stop to give way, and when I went to take off the car stalled and the engine light came on.

I pulled over for 5 minutes and started back up and made it to work fine.

Any ideas what is causing this?

Cheers,

there are so many things, nobody will be able to diagnose your car over the internet with a vague description

Take it to a mechanic.

Don't mess around on depending on one of us to guess. We're not trying to be rude. But it's kind of s no answer question like trav said especially with out a code.

It's not that I would take your words over a mechanics.
It's booked in to see one this afternoon but was just wanting to know if people had ever the same issue so I could get an idea of what it could be?

I wasn't expecting an essay or perfect answer from anyone. Just an idea of what a potential cause was

Or like my dads accord this morning it threw the timing belt and blew the motor.

He had the same symptoms accept his won't stay on for obvious reasons. The possibilities are endless as far as blind diagnosis.

As cheap as scan tools are, I can't understand why everyone doesn't have one.

Because everyone is too lazy to care about their cars now.

They just expect them to take care of them selves or like now they just rely on the internet to answer or solve all their problems.

The internet and technology is both a curse and a gift.

The SES light is there for a reason. The code will quite often tell you exactly what you need. Many auto parts stores will run a scan for you for free. It could easily be a simple sensor that you are now going to pay someone $100 just to install?
