personally, stock numbers i believe the 370z with be better? ... but we all know how well they take to mods. This is just from the g37 sedan running 13.5 on a magazine. so i expect LOW LOW 13'z from the Z atleast and better handling than now hopefully with the weight reduction. but then again we dont know enough about the new Z to fully know what it will actually be able to do.
The power to weight ratio should really put the 370Z above those cars and squarely in 911 territory. My buddy has an '06 911 C4. It weighs 3200 pounds and has 325 HP. It's VERY fast. Although there may be less drive train loss with the rear engined Porsche, the improved weight and power of the new Z should make it competitive with the Porsche icon, and way ahead of Nissan's chosen target: the ugly, over-priced Cayman.
The 370Z should have no problem handling the Evo X or the 335i in a straight line. It'll have it's work cut out for it battling the X in the twisties, but the 335i should be no problem.
This is, of course, just IMO.

I think you're right on the money with those numbers.
i hope hes right about the numbers... lol. personally i think magazine best at 13.0 (unless there is some wierd launch control to help them out) 108 ish trap speed, weight... i know they said they will reduce it... but i think it will still fall between 3100-3200. top speed i still see it being limited at 155. i dont see a reason for nissan to really want to open that up. its not like they are in a top speed war with anyone. and HP.... i say 335.
*** all this guesstimation is so that I can be pleasantly surprised if nissan one ups me which is what im hoping =D***

+1, exactly what I think

My goodness you're optimistic. I'd love to be wrong, but they're just cutting 4 inches off the frame... not gonna save 400 pounds, especially with a heavier engine, brakes, and nice interior materials to bump it back up.
gonna have to disagree with that one (although its highly subjective). the 370z does look great from the rear panels back, but the front is so-so. i will agree that it is much better looking than the evoX, but not the 335i.

The current Zs weigh between 3300-3350 pounds. Minus 200 and what do you get????
SO many are misinformed about the Zs weight; I saw on RS Sports Cars Forum people saying the Zs were 3500 pounds. Not sure where they got that from....
