GOOD:
- shorter
- wider
- lighter
- interior doesn't look bad
- no antenna
- no rear wiper
- 19" all around (premium/track)
- more power
- G37 brakes (track?)
BAD
- red/orange/BLUE illumination (looks like VW golf IV)
- seats (they can put recaros like in.. subaru, mitsu, even honda.. )
- steering wheel (those silver buttons/switch looks really cheap)
- red tomato light on the bumper
- regular bulbs instead of leds in rear lights (blinker, backup light)
- cromed stripe of led in the front lights (audi style)
TBA
- stitching.. cool if it's leather.. ghetto if it's plastic
- digital gauges... good if it has TRUE water temp, OIL TEMP!!!, and useful performance info... super lame if it has only open door, missing key and other BS. (something like a "lite edition" of what the GT-R has is a missing)
of course... I'll get a nismo as soon as it will be out!

Even with the 19's, the offset and wheel gap looks atrocious. Even more so now that the car is shorter and wider. Why can't anyone but the German's get this right?

All tight JDM whips come with wheel gap from the factory
I'm going to play devil's advocate that the gauge lighting is, indeed, white. It just shows up a tiny bit blue on a digital camera especially when there is still sunlight. Remember, white LEDs are actually blue with yellow phosphor. I know it because I've modded my gauges and tried to take pictures as well. In other words, blue LED backlighting is VERY BLUE. You can't judge on just one decent picture.

I was gonna post this, as I have seen several people comment on the "blue" lighting. I'd be 99% sure it's actually white... and even though the needles look different orange than the rest, I bet it all is the same color. These are spy shots, not official manufacturer shots. Give it time...
As for the digital gauge, just remember that there are still 3 pods on the dashboard to fill up with info. Although I do wish one of them was for "boost"... but I digress...
Wait a minute. So you don't like it because it has LED lights or because it doesn't come with LED taillights?
I hope it comes with LED's. They look hot. I am pretty confident they will utilize LED's because more and more car-makers are utilizing them now. If I recall reading somewhere, they might make them the standard taillights..

I think he meant the signals and reverse lights are NOT LED, but incandescent instead. Nissan gives us room for DIY projects. The first thing I did with my Z in '03 was create my own Luxeon parking light, signals, reverse, dome, and trunk light. Then came the blackout gauges with Luxeon lighting as well as amber->white LED interior lighting mod. With the 370Z I won't have to do much besides changing out the amber LEDs underneath the LCD.
Love everything about the Z except the cubby hole cover. I was expecting a regular screen for base models and nav for the higher models but Nissan put an annoying huge box there. LCD screens are so cheap these days, I think a 30K car should come with one.

the front bumper minus the fangs
lower rear bumper details minis the thing in the middle
EVERYthing about the interior
the rear hatch from side and rear view
new hood
lighter and stronger and smaller
the way the beltline lowers as it comes from the hood
side view
the little "spoiler" bulge
dislikes:
front and rear lights
fangs
the way the rear hatch looks from front 3/4 angle
the huge flat surface around the wheel arches( why does nissan keep making them bigger and bigger, the altima and previous gen maxima are HUUGE, oh and the exterra too)
skyline style a-pillar/roof
new seats
new base model (probably) wheels
the way the car looks from the front
rear license plate housing/surround
IMHO

I have to disagree. The LCD is cheap, but not the system surrounding it. It is much cheaper to drop in a simple audio head unit. That's as minimalist as it'll ever get for a base model. The fancy display and music box integration belongs to the Touring model - buyers who buy the car for a different purpose. It is probably low priority for track/base owners.
IIRC, the base Maxima doesn't include an integrated 7" display as well. You have to step up at least once to get it without navigation, and it becomes your vehicle information center. If one opts for navigation, then all that becomes standard.

well... led "lines" for water temp and fuel.. pod gauges oil pressure, voltmeter and 2 multifunction display.... we'll see.

The fuel/temp indicator strips are not LED. The gauge face sits on top of the LCD display, so the upper and lower bands of "dots" are actual segments of the display. This is much cheaper (assembly-wise) and more power efficient than driving individual LED segments.
