I'm wanting to get a 370 without the stock rims but with the plain black steel rims instead. Is this possible? can i order a car from the dealership like this. I wont be needing them.

THanks
yes, they will buy a set from Tire rack, charge you double and keep your stock rims!
Steel rims will not clear the brakes. This is why you need a special width rim to work. Why on earth would you not want the rims? Go by a KIA if you want something like that.
i assume he has a set of custom wheels on order and wanted to see if it could save him money. my idea would be to sell them as soon as you purchase the car. there are many people who want a set of zero mile 370z sport package wheels
I feel for your situation. I wouldn't want wheels that look like Edward Scissorhands either. But as has been pointed out, the wheels need to clear the brakes.

The question is pointless - the factory can't put anything on the car that doesn't already come as an available option. It's like being expected to be able to order one with Volk or Works wheels - not gonna happen.
Besides, you'd pay a whole lot extra to not get the OEM wheels - special requests and "out of the ordinary" always costs extra in a assembly line, mass production environment.
Yeahi was just trying to save some money. The winter is coming and i was gonna put winter tires on them. I am almost positive i saw a member or 2 with steel rims on there z. I guess im gonna have to just sell them when i get them.
The spare tire is a steel rim, but it's specially designed to fit over the brakes, etc. I'm sure you could buy some steelies that fit but it doesn't make sense to try and buy it that way from the factory.

Dude, the Z is simply not a winter car. Wait until spring to buy one. I'm about to wash & wax mine one last time, but it in the garage, cover it and drive my SUV until April.

So how did that work out for you? My guess is not too well or you didn't buy the Z at all.

370Z is not a money saving device. Like the OP said, buy a KIA and you would save a whole lot more.
