everyone says how heavy the z is...but it weighs in lighter ~200lbs than a c6 vette. and that thing is all fiber glass.
for tracking...these are estimated # chime in if im wrong.
take out the passengers seat 30lbs,rear wiper motor8lbs, 1/4 tank of gas 50lbs,windshield wiper fluid 5lbs, spare tire and tools 35lbs.
138lbs
then spending money
light weight battery 20lbs, cf hood 10lbs, light weight flywheel 15lbs, cbe 30lbs, test pipes 15lbs, light weight track wheels 15lbs, cross drilled rotors 5lbs, cf hatch 20lbs, light weight drivers seat 15lbs, and light weight lug nuts(lol) 1lb, light weight pulleys 8lbs
154 more lbs
so bout 290lbs. thats close to .3 secs off a quarter mile, not counting power gains.

True, when comparing a 2003 base 350Z to a 2013 ZR1 which I believe is their heaviest model. And the Z's only got fatter.

I heard that as well. Took the spare tire, scissor jack out. About 50 or so pounds.

Thanks, now I'm going to skip a couple of meals before I go out for a cruise! I am very impressed with the Stillen kit on the hr and things are coming together.

It was on a corvette forum where a guy took his 2006 touring out and weighed it against his zo6 z51..2007 and the z was 3200ish And the corvette came in at over 3400lbs.

Nowhere near enough too keep up, but it's just showing that every one screams how tubby the z is. My 03 civic is 2900lbs if I remember correctly. Sure way lighter but that thing feels like driving a piece of spaghetti. It's not like where driving camerys and 5 series.

The curb weight of a 350Z = 1450KG, the 350HR = 1448KG and the curb weight of a 370Z = 1475KG

This is incorrect. Curb weight is dry with no fluids. Gross Vehicle Weight is the correct number and reflects the fully laden weight. It's on the door jamb

Gross weight, as often seen printed on the side of tucks, is the maximum allowed laden weight. Meaning the total weight of the vehicle, passengers, and cargo. In America curb weight always means, weight of car, all supplied equipment, fluids and full tank of gas. Dry weight is the same as curb weight, but without any liquids.
