Default 4 door version of GTR to be sold as an infiniti??

my local newspaper just said this and it caught me by surprise. it said the infiniti 4 door version will have slightly softer lines and cost 3-5k more than the nissan...i feel so behind. is this true?

They've probably got the GT-R confused with the Skyline.

This is not the first time I heard of this. Thre was a thread a while back about this here. I think it said something about also being de-tunned a bit may be a single turbo too using the 3.7 motor. Don't quote me on this but I'm pretty sure I saw something like this a while back.

Economically, it makes sense for Nissan to reuse the GT-R platform and engine in more than just the GT-R.

There was an article in motortrend about 6 months ago speaking of a 4 door GTR type car from Infiniti.

Why not sell a few more cars off the hype? Seems logical to me.

BTW..it's not like this is the first time they made a 4 door skyline, so don't count it out.

With all the care they are putting into the GT-R platform, I dont see why the hell they would reuse it as another car. I could see them using some of the components/technology in the GT-R in a high-end Infiniti, but not something to call a 4dr Infiniti version of the GT-R.
