While the "regular" GT-R is busy bringing down giants and collecting hardware in the process, the new GT-R Spec V promises to improve on the formula, and probably cure cancer or bring about world peace along the way. Here are the numbers: 2 seats only, 520 hp @ 6500 rpm, 440 lb.-ft. of torque all the way from 3200–5200 rpm, 3615 lbs., 'Ring laps quicker than 7:30, $130,000 MSRP, early 2009.

By those numbers it sounds like the regular GTR is the better bargain. $60k on top of the $70k price tag of the regular GTR, I would have expected more from the Spec V.
I think that once the GT-R has completely paved the way for Nissan being considered a major contender in the high performance market, the Spec V will do alright. Limited production and a price that is still a bargain to be the undisputed highest performer on the road will ensure sales IMO.
No, I meant to say just the V-Spec, but I guess I said it wrong, so my bad.
I don't see it as a very business-like move. I wouldn't pay $130k for a Nissan.
I know Nissan isn't a bad car company, but there's just better quality and luxurious things out there.
Considering the V-Spec will probably be bought by hardcore fans/drivers, I don't see it failing due to the fact that the production is supposed to be really low compared to the base GT-R.

They both seem probable, but we really won't know until it happens. I forgot that there would be a 'low production' on them, so that changes everything. But I mean, the extra $60k mods would really have to be justifiable for someone like me to consider buying the 'V-Spec-V ()' version. If all they did was a suspension upgrade, take out back seats, and turn up the boost, then I wouldn't even consider it.

I forgot what the amount was but I thought it was supposed like 25 a month
I'm sure Matt knows.
