Actually MC, you may be able to confirm.

I was told by the dealer that turning VDC completely off voids the warranty. There is some kind of black box inside the car that logs pretty well everything the car goes through. Are they on the mark?

yeah i mean its complicated but yea there is a box called flickr and it records like 40 hours of driving at like 5 second snap shots.

as for the VDC and warranty. if you have a failure when VDC is off (the mean if you use launch control) then that repair to the failed part isnt under warranty. just pressing the button cannot void it and its not like your CD player starts skipping and they say of well you had VDC off. basically its just all based around the luanch control debate

oh post those pics here to get on the mag cover!!

Is this a replacement for your 997 TT or are you keeping that as well?

I'm gonna go ahead and give MC's secret away....he's a crack dealer. Basically, he cons me into buying $100k worth at a time, or I get banned, so I practically have no choice.

You guys are BALLERS!

The on;y GTR i get to drive is on my PS3 on GT5...

BUT it sure was a nice feeling when my local Nissan dealership called me and gave me dibs on the GTR they had... for 90k...

I would have to sell my Z and use my home equity. I am going to wait until the 20k upcharge is gone away.

Keeping it as well. I'm hoping to have them all out of the garage on the weekend.

I repair sewing machines for a living.

Congrats, GT-R looks great in red!

But I'm curious as to how you managed to make your final decision on red?

When the car is released here and when I've saved up enough, I know i'll have some trouble choosing the color!

Thanks for the comments guys.

MC... so if I do drive around with it off, I am in fact alright unless I break something while VDC is off? I had it out today for a while. Funny to see that not too many people know what it is. Of course, I'm in some kind of hick town!

I went with red because I was told that there hadn't been a red order. They were able to choose the colours of the first three. After the first three, they received what ever came to them. I was actually quoted a delivery time of August 2009. This one was the 4th they had delivered. Good to see that I shaved a year off!

For the record I placed my deposit in late March and was able to get the car at MSRP. In Canada, the car is only available with the premium package; no options other than colour.
