my only guess is that we have to see the dyno's.. i'm willing to bet that even though the Porsche is making more HP that the GTR has more area under the curve and is making much better power across the powerband

That may very well be true. I don't know about the Porsche, but the GT-R's drivetrain delivers consistent torque throughout. There is no loss of boost when shifting.
