Wow, another thread whining about the GT-R warranty.
If you can afford a GT-R and plan on driving it like a supercar, then the warrranty ought to be the least of your worries.
All car manufacturers with data recorders will deny you warranty coverage if you don't let them have full access to the system in the car. That's like taking any car into a dealer and asking them to fix a problem but telling them they can't try to figure out how or why it broke.

I think the point here is that Nissan is restricting the owners to using the vehicles as a grocery getter instead of what they were designed for.
Nissan is going to lose sales on the GT-R, it just doesnt make sense. Why would you buy a sports car and not have fun with it. It should be able to handle such abuse... so ghey.
Components and/or parts that fail during racing or driving events (including Porsche sponsored events) will not be covered by the new car limited warranty.

You remember when Rob's Z broke at the track? Yeah... that wasn't fixed under warranty

Nissan needs to provide some sort of usage orientation for it's GT-R buyers to explain what the car is capable of and what is covered under warrantee. This could avoid the "rug" from being pulled from under your GT-R the day you bring it in for coverage.
Does anyone know off the top of their head about how much it would cost to upgrade to something that can actually handle the launch control? It would make sense to upgrade that area if you are going to be using it.
