Fact is, if I had the $$$ to buy a GTR I would put a tasteful kit on it and get rid of that front bumper with a quickness.

Well, GT-R's are regarded differently than Z's (different market target), and therefore do not follow the same marketing trends/strategies. But I was also pointing out that the price wasn't raised "for no reason".

There was a "reason": significant engine gains/improvements, like 40+ hp gain and 50+ lbs-ft torque gain.

I didn't say it was a "good" reason or a "justifiable" reason , but "for no reason" to me means that they made ZERO changes and raised the prices anyway.

They raised prices because they are selling so few of them. This year the market for cars was really bad (although as a whole Nissan seems to have fared ok).

A $90k plus price tag on the gtr to me is not worth it, the minimum styling mods which dont even look that good and 40hp increase which can be made with a cobb tune in the 09-10 model. i got the dealer down to $75,557 for a 09

Agreed...IMO, Nissan hit their head before making the Z34...just doesn't flow right, IMO of course. The current production GT-R started to grow on me...I think Nissan did a great job mechanically except for the fact that there was no manual offered. Don't like the new 370z or the new GT-R. As stupid as it may sound, I wouldn't trade my 350 for anything right now.
