Just got a yellow convertible last week!!!

Hello to you all, I just got a yellow Z last week and I was wondering.....How do you guys clean your cars....Do you take it to a car wash to get it detail? or you do it yourselves? If so, what brands do you use and besides water, do u use a sponge or some cloth rag since I am afraid to leave even a little scratch on my brand new car.......Thxs

Sorry for asking a lot of questions, but this is my first car and I want to take care of it like its my baby

Well, I always wash my own car. I don't take it to the car wash because they won't wash in the hard to reach places. They only wash the easily accessible areas. I would wash your own car and screw the bastards. Plus it gives you a chance to enjoy your baby in the sun for a couple of hours.

for a washing cloth i use a shaggy looking cloth mit. Soap I just use some turtle wax soap that i had laying around. Dry with a shammy cloth and wax with Meguiars Gold. Meguiars wax is incredible. Apply wax with the applicator provided and buff off with a microfiber towel.
