Dealer says drive easy or risk feathering??
Dealer just relpaced both front tires on my '05 roadster due to feathering, but cautioned me to avoid hard cornering or risk another front end alignment problem. Any truth to this??

My worst feathering occurred at very leisurly speeds, like 55 to 60. I reduced the feathering when I tracked it. Others have reported similar experiences.
Your dealer is no dumber or smarter than anyone else about feathering. The only right answer to its cause is "I don't know".
Please somebody prove me wrong!

I would avoid any "XX45" from Infiniti! I have an FX45 and it's guzzling oil. A common characteristic of the Nissan 4.5 V8 apparently. My service mgr. here in Nashville has 3 4.5 V8's that he's recommending replacement of engine: 2 Q's and my FX. If I had it to go over again and know what I know now, I would go for any "XX35" variant. They've replaced many engines in Q's, M's, and FX's. Fresh Alloy's forum for the FX is full of commentary on clacking upon startup and oil consumption. Devastating blow to my opinion on this vehicle. The FX rocks, but an engine that sucks oil? In a premium automobile? Give me a break...

This is good to know. I had not heard this before. I've got the 5.6 V8 in my Titan and it has no problems like this.

OK that makes so much sense. Just like my T-Mobile Sidekick2, If I am paying or paid that much money for their product, that **** better not be flawing out on me like that!
I got 10K miles on my Z but haven't seen that issue yet! Man Nissan better pray my car doesn't act up like that!
