Custom Wave Ski Rack for my Roadster (Lots of PICS)

Sup guys,

Thought I'd show this off. I made myself a custom rack for my 350z Roadster so I could get my ski down to the water on the days when the wife has the truck for work. The rack is set up so I can use it with the top either up or down, if you're gonna go Wave Skiing - arrive in style

Top up...

Top down...

The rack itself...

That's a man who won't give in to SUVs! Kudos.

Kind of looks like a banana peel laid across your car. Any improvements in aerodynamics?

Lol yeah, that's a loaner ski as mine is in the shop after I dumped it on some rocks and smashed it up a bit. So until I get it back I'm the big banana man.

Hmmm - I'd be worried - looks like your ski is rubbing against the top. Won't that cause fabric damage?

For the amount of time the ski is on the car it's highly unlikely. My trip to the beach is about 5-10mins, plus the ski is very glossy - if anything it might make the odd shiny spot. The car is over 5 years old now and is starting to get the seperating corners on the roof, so rubbing from the ski is the least of my worries there.
