I've heard the coupe got problem with the interior lights and clutch failure also...

Don't get me wrong guys, Zs are one of the best "good looking" cars at under $50k range out there but I'm frustrated at dealing with mechanical problems ...

u got to take the good with the bad...

I have encountered my deal of issues with the top... but i have convertibles since 1990 and i had the same issue with all... i guess is a matter of getting used to or learning to deal with the issues...
When i get frustrated I wash with the intend to take pics and post it to sell it but once i see it all clean I take it for a spin with the top is down and as i am cruising all the bad feelings go away...

that happens all the time... usually is a little part that comes out of place and prevents the top from coming down completely.. all you do is close a little and then open and that is it... I can't find the correct words to describe the little part that causes it but Im gonna try to take a pic and show it...

warranty is supposed to cover everything... but if something does not work they need to "inspect" to make sure that what is broken is part of the warranty... it does not makes sense but that is the way my extended warranty works... at least mine.
by the way the dealer charges for the inspection....

being frustrated is normal... take your time this saturday and give your baby a bath... take it for a ride and then write back. hahaha

interior lights and the clutch are the same for the coupe and roadster. I dont recall anything about the interior lights on the Z, but there was a recall on the 07 clutch (coupe and roadster).

So far nothing serious.
The only issue I have is the rear axle clicking and that is all Z and G's.
Trying to get it fixed under the power train warranty even with the mods.

Agree with the wash and some detailing and then the drive, I guess the wind blows the bad feeling away.

Preventitive maintenance is the key. I would rather spend $200-$300 every few months to keep the car top notch than spend $6000 when **** hits the fan

I dont have a roadster but I know how you feel..

350Z brakes: 900 installed
4 Hubs replaced: 1200 installed
Seat replaced: 500 installed
Transmission: 2 days downtime, covered under warranty

But I still love it. Add on top of that tires (1200 every 1.5 years... I'm a beast!), synthetic oil every 4 months ( 50 bucks), Gas..(350 a month)...

I felt the same way, like the soft top problem. I traded in my Z Roadster for a coupe about 1-1/2 years ago, and problem solved. I've never had any issues *knock on wood*. I've never heard about the interior lights though. Did that issue just arise or something?

I haven't had much in the way of problems. One problem with an annoying noise somewhere on the passenger side. Can only hear it with the top up - so it stays down as much as possible

I agree with preventive maintenance. I've done that with all my cars.

Good Luck.

Oh - and - absolutely no car is completely trouble free.

There are quite many coupe Z owners experience the problem with interior lights, all the interior lights suddently stop working at once except the trunk light. I dont have the coupe so I dont exactly what happen but this problem just recently arise...

Well tomorrow is Sat, I'll detail my baby again and just let the wind blows all the bad feelings away...
thanks for replies guys...
