So I was thinking of trading in my 350z Coupe, for a 350z Roadster. I was wondering if anyone has done this before and if so, what are your impressions of switching to the convertible scene. I test drove a roadster this past weekend and I loved it. I currently own a 2004 dt blue 350z coupe, and the roadster im looking at is a 2004 grey 350zr. It has 64,000 miles but the interior is like brand new. The top is in good condition as well.
I traded my '04 coupe for an '08 roadster, and man it is nice. It took some getting used to at first, but driving just after the sun goes down or on a cloudy day is the best. I would higly recommend the switch.
My wife loves her roadster. For awhile, WE daily drove the roadster as our only 350Z. Now she DDs it and I have a coupe I drive as well. It's hard to beat the ZR. It looks sharp with the Brembos that accent the orange seats. We also painted the hoops body color. Here are a few pics.

Dont do it!
You see the many top problems thread in here. Keep the coupe.I regretted getting a roadster, since now I have to fork out a few gs to fix the tears in my top.
i agree with the top off its just awesome. but i do love the looks of the hard tops. just hoping the removable hard tops they make looks like the reg ones.
I use both.
However, I chose the roadsters as touring auto [add brembos] and the coupes as track model 6 speed manuals.
Great here in SoFla [and tnt]...all year around.
Fortunately for me, my wife has the coupe and I have the roadster. When I traded my coupe I never regretted it. Not once...
We are a Z family what can I say.
That's awesome. In our family, my wife has the ZR and I have the coupe. We do switch them up a bit. She has never driven "our" 300 though.

I Have A Roadster And It Is Nice On A Nice Cool Day Or Right After The Sun Goes Down To Ride With The Top Down But They Are Right With The Top Tearing, I Have 3 Tears In Mine And Its Going To Cost A Pretty Penny To Get A New Top For Them, But DO IT The Convertibles Are So Nice
having the only modded roadster in my area for miles makes me stick out , i dont know if its a good thing or not but im happy with what i roll around in especially cruising the beaches
I am trading my Coupe for a ZR in the next couple months as soon as I find one I like and that I can afford. I had an S2000 before my coupe and I miss having a vert.... I really never put the top up on my s2k so im pretty sure it will be the same on the ZR... ill put it down one day and it will stay that way for months lol.... I let it just sit in the garage and dont usually drive in the rain so im not worried about the top issues.
