How many people are waiting on smoothlines top to be made?
I emailed them yesterday because my top is starting to fall apart really bad.I wanted to know if there is gonna be a big interest in it so that when they start production we could try and arrange a gb. They sent me a pdf about the top and it seems like a really cool thing I want for my car.350ZR hardtop .pdf. So if everyone could email them thats interested that would be great thanks.
i emailed them a couple days ago showing interest (i also wanted to know who makes that rear wing on their PDF! lol). i still haven't heard from them, but i'm definitely interested.
thanks for emailing them.I just need a new top so bad and I dont want to wait for the rag top. On my rear passenger side the hole got big enough where I could fit my head in it on the freeway it flaps. Then on my side by rear glass it just ripped all the way to where the top begins.
Yes, I'm in. My top just got 2 new rips on the other side. So now there's 4 and I'm not looking into replacing the top when I've been looking into getting the removable hardtop.

If it were lightweight ... say in carbon fiber, I'd be all over it. Just because I like to be a CF whore. LOL
Some of the faster Z's would want it too since drag strips require NHRA approved roll bars in convertibles that run 13.49 or faster and cages in convertibles faster than 11 seconds. (Like I have issues with either rule right now.)

Damn i dont want to wait till spring 2010. by then my top will be gone in the wind.... seriously.
Can you post some pics of that pdf? i can't open it and im way to lazy to get adobe shtuff.
i mean what will this look like?
If it will look almost the same as the regular top i'd rather go for a replacement of the stock one, or make my own. (not saying i could make it, just saying I'd rather make my own, with own specs and dimensions for the money)
Why not email this thread link to them?
i thought i read the z top will have a double hump-style like the corvette version. which would be pretty sweet. a tiny bit more headroom always helps. i just hope they have plans to make one in carbon fiber!
if it's still in the planning/designing stages, i doubt there will be pics unless they post some kind of cad drawing.
