Default Best way to get a new top!

I need a new Top for the Roadster but the cost has me dealing with the rip.

I'm at the point where I can't stand to look at it anymore and I need to find the cheapest way to replace it.

Any suggestions..

I purchased my 05 ZR in January with one very small hole. I live in Houston so my top is up and down all day. Within a few months I had several tears wich I repaired with pieces of canvas and gorilla glue. That only lasted a few months before the top began to tear on both sides of the window.
I purchased a Robbins cloth top from topsonline for around $750. I got several quotes to install the top between $350 and $500. I decided to try the install myself using the instructions from this forum. It took me all day but I took my time and I was succesful. The Robbins cloth top looks much better than factory and is more durable. If you want the factory vinyl they sell it on ebay for around $500 but the cloth top is better.

I found one for 479 shipped on ebay or cloth one for 539. It seems good the thing that has me interested is it comes with a 5 year warranty. I wonder if they will replace it if it rips at the seams because of the metal bars rolling on it.there website is www.topsonline.com

Visit the topsonline website to get a better description of the different choices. The cloth top looks better and is more durable than the vinyl. That is why it is more expensive. The window is glass with defroster.

So I emailed them to see if they covered separation. Does nissan know that the tops are defective and rip on there own? this is Topsonline response
Hello,
the seam separation is covered under the warranty but, if their is a bulletin from Nissan on an obvious defect, the Top manufacturer will take that in consideration.
