Here is a pic from smoothline - there is no gasket.
There is a hole and there is a piece of glass to fit in it.

i'm sorry, but even that piece of glass looks worlds better.
not trying to bust any *****, but i'd take that back to the installer
and tell him to try harder. just doesn't look right, and can clearly
be done worlds better. that has a light trim gasket and appears
finished. maybe we're talking about two different pieces of glass?
and i'm a bit oc about these things, and y'all are too.

I did the water test and added some weather strip to the spot where I could see some daylight.
Once I added the weather strip I went for a test ride. I could still hear some wind noise but could not tell if it was the window or where the noise was coming from. With the radio on at a moderate level you can't really hear it.
I washed the car. With direct jet spray on the side windows there was some leakage on the side windows but no where else. But that was with a strong direct spray. I don't think that regular rain would be a big problem but I can't make any promises.

After looking a little more I think the weather stripping around the window is fine. I think the water was coming in from where I added the weather stripping. I don't think the rain would make it leak but spraying directly with the water hose let some water in.
Here is a pic of the window and weather stripping:
You can see the strip I added here.
Here is the shot again before I added the strip
This is the same spot I added in relation to the outside of the car. Above the door handle. Water would have to be moving upward to get in here.
But you can't see the strip I added from the outside.

So your saying the seal could be better in places but it won't leak in heavy rain you think? Or if the car is taken through a car wash?
On the weather stripping, does the window just go over the weather stripping or does it actually slide into a strip like with the soft top?

The weather strip is on the inside of the window.
There is no strip.

But like I said in my previous post, the glass sucks. It wasn't perfectly fit, and now I'm going to remove it and re-seal it.
I expected a slightly different product, but its pretty good.
The top is very rigid though, its impressive.
when I installed it, I removed the oem top and motors, so I will eventually go and weigh the car out to see the savings.

Its hard to say how things will be because the top will heat fit onto the chassis after a good period of time. I'd give it another month before I give a total review on the top.

If you want pm me your number and you can text me some pictures (and visa versa) to help you out.
are you following their procedure on not closing/opening the window unless the door is open?
I haven't driven the car in the last couple of days so off the top of my head it seems to be fine.
EDIT:
What's the heat like over there? if its hot, let your car bake in the sun for a day or two windows shut and have the hooks torqued medium (snug but not tight) for a day, bring the car inside then the next day leave it outside but this time tighten it down some more. The top is fiberglass so it takes the shape of the car better once its been 'heat cycled' (as i call it)
DOUBLE EDIT LOL:
i noticed you added that strip, i noticed a gap there too, but once i 'heat cycled' the top the gap decreased. followed by some more tightening and what not the gap is skinnier than a pencil. I think a bit more heat cycling and tightening and the gap should be totally gone. (I haven't done full tightening because I want to redo the rear window).
