New to me 2004 Z! Window question.
Hey Everyone. Long Time lurker, first time caller...
So I found an 04 Roadster with 58k miles for a great deal. Everything seems to be working great. It goes to my mechanic this week for a health check, etc.
One thing I have noticed though is the Driver side window. It seems to go up all the way, but when it reaches that point there is still about 1/2" away from covering the convertible rubber seal at the rear. I get a lot of road noise and I imagine if it rains it would leak.
Is there any chance they maybe have the wrong window in there? Is there a difference at all between the coupe and roadster window dimensions?
Any relevant thoughts are appreciated.
Thanks,
Todd

It could be a couple things. 1) the window motor anti-pinch needs to be reset so that the window rolls all the way up and then drops a slight amount whenever the door is opened. Unfortunately, you have to remove the door panel to access the reset button on the window motor, but it's not too bad. I attached the procedure to reset it. Or 2) the gasket/weather stripping on the rear could be worn down or warped and needs to be replaced so there's a nice tight seal.
