Default Removing the entire top assembly.

I never put my top up, it has the usual tears in it, and it didn't go down very well when I last dropped it 1 1/2 years ago. I never drive if there's any chance of rain and have an emergency tarp just in case. I'd like to remove the entire assembly to shed the 100+ pounds. Does anyone have a link detailing how to remove the entire assembly? I'd like to keep the top just in case I want to re-install someday. Having an additional trunk where the top used to be might come in handy as well. Any links or help would be appreciated.

Is there no mention of this in the FSM or Repair manual?

Thanks Sam, I don't have a manual but will see if I can find one online to look at. I'm not in a huge rush but 100 pounds mounted up high seems like a lot. Thanks for the suggestion.

Hey Pete, there are two sites that I can think of with manuals available in PDF form for download, they are as follows; www.fairladyz32.com and the www.nicoclub.com websites. The fairlady site gives a FSM from every Z car ever built from 74 onwards. I think the Nico club is for the Z33 from '02 onwards. I hope these give you the information that you're after.
