Thanks guys. I got out of the hospital on Thursday which seem to be a nice day to be out since it was Thanksgiving and I'm appreciative for the care I received in the hospital for the 10 days I was there including two days in ICU.

I worked on my track rims by finishing filling in the curb rash and using fill primer, I primed the wheels and painted them a nice graphite color from the Vht brand spray paint and finished it with clear coat. The color seems to be very close to the factory nismo wheels. I will have some nismo logos made and apply them to one spoke of each wheel.

I was starting to get mad you hadn't updated.... I said to myself: "this guy's appendix better have burst and he gets a clot in his lung for not posting"

I'm obviously kidding. Glad you're feeling a bit better!

I painted my track edition rims with graphite vht paint and clear coat after fixing the curb rash and adding Nismo decals. I also bought 06 plus brakes and painted them gold with red Nissan lettering.

Yes but Nismo front and rear bumpers to follow when I can finish painting them :-) Also Nismo muffler to be installed with rear bumper. You forgot I have a Nismo steering wheel too ;-)

the weather hasn't been exactly painting weather here in Southern California lately with lots of rain or cooler temperatures. It looks like next week, especially Tuesday, will be good temperatures for painting. I plan on getting the painting done early next week and hopefully have the bumpers installed and the muffler. I'm still looking for OEM Nismo side skirts so if anyone knows of anyone who is selling some please let me know.

Since you are in California don't know about the following suggestion but the S-tune mid pipe and Motordyne test pipes should keep volume where you want plus add some additional power. If you do that then you could find you your favorite Y-pipe to throw on as well. I am guessing this would give you really good sound and about 5-10 hp as well.

Thanks for the exhaust suggestion.

Still waiting for weather to cooperate. It may be warm enough next week to finish painting the bumpers although I will be going out of town on Wednesday and won't be back until Monday.

I finished making the second part of the mesh on the rear bumper and used silicone seal to hold it in place.

Looking at this weekend to install the bumpers.

Front bumper - I need to install the LED strip in place of the fugly amber reflectors and tap into a power source so they act as running lights. I am hoping the bumper bolts up to the fender liners and the underside tray under the engine. Looking forward to the clean look without the front Nissan emblem that I painstakingly filled in.

Rear bumper/Nismo muffler - I hope the Nismo muffler bolts up. Remember this came from an actual Nismo Z, not an aftermarket Nismo product. Also, I understand that you have to use a Nismo Z muffler because it hangs lower to fit with the OEM Nismo rear bumper. I hope the bumper bolts up with no problems and that the rear undertray bolts up easily.

Ill keep you all posted.

Rear bumper was mostly a direct swap. I had to make a couple of brackets for the lower attachment point using straight pieces of aluminum. Also, the stryrofoam bumper piece was removed since it was easily seen through the lower mesh area and was rather unsightly. I will probably end up painting metal part of the bumper this is visible through the area also.

Front Nismo bumper installed. there is a plate that goes between the bumper and the original under tray and I was glad I had that because it connected the bumper to the tray. The fender liners fit perfect. With the plate, it was a direct swap. Took under 2 hours.

I clearly need the side skirts and I will probably resort to acquiring some replicas until OEM ones become available at a reasonable price on the used market

Installed the Muffler and rear diffuser under the rear bumper. in order to attach the diffuser I needed some hardware. I went to Lowes and got some #6 speed nuts and bolts. The nuts were a little too long so I ground them down and they fit perfect
