I mean my vert has aerosync front and some very minimal skirt add-on's and widened rear fenders... So that's my preference. But for the style this car is trying to do, I think the v3 fits the lines much better. With the long nose and the diffuser hanging off the trailing edge of the car, a wing that follows suit looks much better than the v1 which kind of squats down and into... nothing lol.

i like the v3, but not sure if i would on a vert. it might look out of place because of the height of it.

The one thing I've learned about roadsters is pictures never do the car justice. You kind of have to think about it in person which is hard to do. Even stock the car can look super fugly in pics, yet in person I really like the shape. So it's kind of weird. I'd definitely like to see it tried though. I've got a little gurney style duckbill that I'm working on.

Still debating whether I should bend over and pay $1600 shioped for a black OEM V3 wing or $200 for a replica, local pick up. The replica will be one solid piece and need to be fitted and then painted. The OEM wing is in a few pieces and is already painted the right color. I may need to modify it to fit my roadster trunk....

Its hard to swallow a $1600 pill so I may wait til a better deal comes along.....

I think this would be a more complimentary wing on the roadster.

Looks good, though I'm not keen on the nismo rear bumper.

Did any US spec 350z come with Brembos as standard?

If I remember correctly the Track, Grand Touring, and Nismo Edition models came with Brembos.

I like the overall theme as a NISMO ***** myself

2 thoughts

1) car needs more aggressive wheels or at least spacers.

2) V3 spoiler will require you needing to plug the holes from your current V1, did you factor that in?

It seems you got many more variants than we did in the UK.

We got only got 2 specs and 99% are GT's.

I have a low mile, one previous owner GT, roadster that is completely original.

I've considered fitting the nismo v2 kit, but I hate fibreglass and I'm a bit reluctant to mod as original Z's are getting rare now.

I would fit a nismo stune if I could find a decent one.

I agree with the spacer comment above.

I considered wheel spacers - possibly 15mm? I just dont want it rubbing the fenders.

If I need to plug any holes its no problem. I believe the trunk is made of plastic, so some plastic filler and touch up paint, and Im good to go.

Go for the replica. Then if you really like it, save up and wait for a better one. I'm sure someone will be willing to buy the replica off you.

I gashed my trunk a while back pretty badly when I was loading a ball hopper in it. There is a sort of outer skin and then like fiberglass material underneath.

That should make filling in holes fairly easy..

I thought about getting the replica and then buying the real one later. The only problem is that it adds to the total cost. Assuming I pay $200 for replica, and $100 for paint. Im already $300 down, plus Id have to spend the big bux for the real deal later. However, it would have the advantage of seeing what I need to do to fit the piece to my car.

I was thinking about dressing up the gauges a bit but nothing over the top like changing colors or adding graphics. My Triumph motorcycle has black gauges and a white tachometer and it looks great. Here is the 350z gauges using the same idea:

The replica is 2 piece and requires no fitting to the coupe so it's identical dimensionally to the oem. Search the forums and you will find.

My understanding is that the roadster, with its trunk, doesn't allow the V3 spoiler without having it fit. I don't know if that has ever been confirmed, but that's what I have been reading. I don't believe anyone has ever actually tried to fit a V3 on a roadster Z.
