Well... I guess since I have been taking so many pictures, I'll try to make my journey for those taking the same path.

Two years ago I got a 05 roadster with the intent on acquiring an aggressive look. Im from Honda world, and nissans always seemed so "impractical" to me. But... Here I am, driving a 350z. And I just got a small settlement. So... Why not go for the look I've be admiring?

I'm no Nissan pro, I'm no mechanic, I'm no auto body guru. I'm just a regular guy on a bit of a budget fixing up his car one paycheck at a time, lol.

One thing I can say right off the bat is "if you know a dude that works at a tire shop.. Become best friends". Because its like lots of these tire shows these days don't want your money or something.

I went to Americas tires, big O, Firestone, Led Schwab, and a couple of mom and pop shops... And none of them wanted to order the wheels I wanted in the size I wanted or the tires in the size I wanted for them.

Luckily, I got a buddy at one of the tire shops the out sourced directly to a vender for "Work" and got me the size wheels i wanted... And he mounted them.

I'm going to up load all the pictures before I start posting them and I'll try not to bore everyone with too much nonsense as I walk you threw my steps.

I went with "Stance" (street series) coilovers I got from another member on this site for a nice price

A foot of wheel width with a -29 offset.

Hooboy, post them pics up. I can't wait to see what a Z looks like with 4.2" of poke. (OK fine, 3" once past the lip.)

Or what it looks like with 8-deg neg camber to fit 'em. Seriously, man, post up! Sheeee.... My Shiro couldn't take -29 and it loves it down at 0..

I was prepared to go negetive camber if need be. So I went with Megan lower control arms and SPC kamber kit

The "rears" took about 25 minutes...

I was taught a thing or two about the "order of execution" on the fronts though.

" make sure you take the lower control arm off 1st" before you undo the the shock forks...

I also managed to damage one of my sway bar mounts and had to drive around for a week with one side disconnected until the replacement mount got here...

But anyway, I ended up getting ended up getting all four on.

Now, I I heard that stance would be I heard that stance would be one of the better Brands to go with being known for its ability to adjust aggressively. BUT BE WARNED".. " it WILL adjust, "aggressively". Take it for me. After rolling off of my seemingly adequate blocks I placed under the wheels, and chassis landed directly on the floor, and becoming beached in my garage for several hours while thinking of a way out of this mess.


either the guy I got them from was a Maniac, or he dial them all the way to 0 so that I could you adjust them myself once I got them installed. Either way God DAMN!

after using half inch, three-quarter inch, 3 by 4, and 2 inch blocks I eventually found my way.... drug my way off the floor.

in addition, and and after a few adjustments, (and chunks of asphalt removed from the ground in front of my house).. I found a pretty good 3 inches from the ground to be a suitable rite-hite. Stance coilovers are actually very very very very nice given their demeanor. No bounce or uncalculated jiggles whatsoever.

after after two of the four blue the months of waiting for these rims to arrive from Japan, I realized.... "I'm out of money... and I know I'm not just going to be able to "throw them on"...

I decided I decided for the extra money I would have to part ways with my beloved hatch for an outrageously low price.

I will I will say it's a relief to get my car and drive around for more than 3 seconds without getting red done by a bow or have some knucklehead in Integra rolled up next to me at every damn redlight and start revving his engine... for some strange reason they don't do all that when I'm riding around in the Z

I have been wanting these wheels since the first time I laid my eyes on them in 2006.

I only have misfortune, a stroke or two or three of good luck, a few broken bones, and permanent spine damage to thank for my recent possession of them
