When I showeY@my Z, a couple of people said to me "Late 20's crisis, huh." I just let it roll off me. I love my Z, and it doesn't matter what age I am...I bought my car because that is the car that I wanted.
Adsactly! And what do they drive? You know that they would love to own a Z. "late 20's crisis, man I didn't realize, now that you mention it I think I'll extange my Z for a nice auto. accord or explorer and be pleased that's what i'm spending my hard earned cash on. Thanks for looking out for me"

I hate when people get jealous like that. And SmoothDome, mid-life crisis, man c'mon there is no such thing! Even a BMW, you've actualy earned it at a certain point. What age do people think you must be to drive a Z or BMW anyways. 17-20 or what!
At first your a "little rich kid with daddys money" (plano, TX.) and then your "too old".
Just because people don't have the ***** to go out and make more money they have to take out their insecurities on people with nice rides.

Mostly guys because they know there women would leave in a heart beat for those with a Z. Where I come from it won't even matter what age, as long as you got the cash (dallas, plano, mckinney, etc.)
I'm 21 and will be around 22 1/2 by the time I get my Z, then I have to start mods, etc. Sometimes people think it'll "be too late" but screw it, I'm going to own a Z!
Valeting in a place like Dallas, TX. teaches a thing or too

27 here. And to any of you who think that they might have bought the car as a midlife crisis, I want to say that no-one is to old to enjoy themselves...

36 - MLC yes
Bought a boat last summer
Bleached and spiked my hair last fall (at my wife's request)
Bought a Daytona Blue ZR last month

How it went:
Sat: cruising the internet, 350Z WOW!, not a bad price too
Sun: dropped by the dealership (no salesmen) with the wife. She thought it was a really "nice" "little" car.
"Mentioned" that I wouldn't have time to restore my 87 Firebird Formula this year due to new responsibilities at work. She "agreed" I probably need to get a "new" car.
Mon Morning: Test drove a coupe - dealer was picky about letting the roadsters off the lot.
Mon Evening: Grabbed the wife and the checkbook and headed back to the dealer to pick up the car. (I couldn't wait to let her change her mind)
Tue: Let the wife drive the car - she doesn't like how low it sits WhooHoo!

I've always driven sports cars - but the 350ZR was my first NEW sports car. My wife is not a push over so getting permission was a major feat. Two factors in my favor were: 1. Sold my Porsche 944 last month (she hated it) 2. Bought her a new Avalance for Christmas (she loves it)

Traditionally, I'm not a fan of Japanese imports. I was also leaning towards a Cadillac or BMW sedan. But in the end I decided I was not ready to settle down into middle age. The end result was that I bought the best looking, two seat, convertible on the market. Whenever people ask how I like my Z, I tell them: " A little more every day!" At work there are three coupes and one G35; but I still have the only ZR in the parking lot. I've gotten more comments and attention with my Z than my friend did when he bought his 911. I haven't seen any of the quality problems described in the forums yet. But the feeling I get when I drop the top and run through the gears will out weigh all of them combined.

This is one FINE car!

I'll be 66 when my 6spd touring w/ nav arrives in June. Previously owned: Porsche Boxster, Austin Healy Bugeyed Sprite, Sunbeam Alpine & 1955 Porsche 356. (And some family station wagons as well)

It's certainly not a MLC. I'm well beyond that.

And BTW..........My wife made me choose the roadster.

36 years old and MLC? I don't think so. Wait until you are 45 or 50 and then MAYBE we can declare it a MLC.

...I am 53.

56 here, last sports car was an RX-7, loved it too.
Once had a Saab Sonnett, how many of you ever heard of that two seat sports car? Also had Jensen Healy, 59 Buged Sprit, Formula Ford, Porsche 928S, Triumph TR-7, Alfa Romeo and now the Z. What fun.

63 I'm an xpel (clearbra) installer and the 350ZR is a perfect vehicle for a product demo. I'm also a lifelong gearhead and the look of this car, the Roadster, has a certain visual connection to my fantasy of the combination hot rod, Carson top, two seater concept car..........and it sits in my driveway! Very cool.

I'm 54 going on 29. I have owned 3 350z's and just bought my super black roadster with the cool orange ventilated interior. It is something else!!! Last weekend we transferred the Stillen supercharger and intercooler as well as the Nismo exhaust on it from the "old" Datona Blue Enthuasist. Is is my imagination or does the roadster ride smoother than the coupe? I've had so many mid life crisis' my wife has lost track. I have also owned over 300 cars and this is the best of the bunch!!!! I love my ZR!
